Fuel to our sales machine - the Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be responsible for servicing inbound sales and related inquiries with a focus on engaging and qualifying all prospective customers. This role is one of the first touch points for prospects and has the opportunity to set the tone for the sales cycle.

The nitty-gritty stuff.

If you are still reading this - here’s the deal. You are often the first point of contact so the customer will have lots of questions. To some, you won’t have an answer but know where to go for assistance. Navigate the complex process and understand what assistance they need along the way. The goal is to qualify the best leads and get those leads over to sales as quickly as possible for a video survey.  The best leads tend to be those prospects needing to move their household goods and automobiles to a new city and/or state and need help with coordinating, packing and loading so they can  get to work or start living their new lifestyle as quickly as possible. You will listen to the customers needs and when they are looking for Housing Assistance or Lifestyle options then you will assist the customer by referring them to one of our partners relative to the city and state they are seeking help. You will do this be completing referral forms and sending them to the right partner.

Make sure that they get the best service, and help them see that using Shyft services is the best choice. In other words - make their experience legendary!


Responsibilities

  • Respond, engage and qualify inbound leads and inquiries
  • Engage current users to expand awareness, educate, ask for referrals, identify new opportunities and develop account intelligence
  • Effectively partner and work across the revenue operations teams
  • Schedule appointments and video surveys for sales closers
  • Refer customers to the right Housing or Lifestyle partner.
  • Hold intelligent and engaging conversations over the phone and email
  • Act as the subject matter expert on our housing product offerings

 

Performance  Measures:

  • Pick-up Rate – 50 new leads assigned or referred per day and 50 existing leads followed up with which will include follow up calls/SMS/emails.
  • Lead response time – the goal is to respond in under 10 minutes. The SLA is to respond in under 30 minutes.
  • Cadence Compliance –You will respond to leads as quickly as possible to ensure we exceed the SLAs of our partnerships. This will require us to respond in under 30 minutes from the time the customer submits their information.  We will expect you to maintain engagement with the customer for at least 3 attempts (1 attempt per day) over 3 days.  These attempts will be phone, SMS and email to ensure we give the Shyft team every opportunity to meet the needs of the client.
  • Longer term we will be looking at how much pipeline is generated and ultimately revenue generated by each SDR.


Requirements

 

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) is a must
  • At least one year of relevant customer service experience is desirable
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • A genuine sense of customer orientation and the ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Solid computer skills
